VAN - turned the big 30. We celebrated with 25 of her friends and family at Bombay house. She does not look a day over 19!
Kristi (center) got engaged on Christmas morning. Kristi is Rance's little sister. I just love her so very much and am so excited for this exciting new chapter of her life. Rance my brother-in-law finished his BS in Civil Engineering at the University of Utah. We're so PROUD OF HIM.

Evening started off with Anjali being upset! We were all ready to go and then got a phone call that her best friend wants to play with her. Of course she was ready to say mama go with Nessa and I can play with Laura.

after some bribing, she was more than excited to go....

Little Hands of Hope School- A friend of my sister is from Argentina and every year she does a fundraiser for the children of Argentina. This year, she wanted to raise money to build restrooms for this school. She is really creative and Crafty, so all year long she puts her craft together and then at the end of the year she has one big party to sell her creations. All the profit goes to Argentina, to the children. It was lots of fun chatting with everyone and seeing the beautiful simple things that she perfected.

Turned out they had dogs that were not in the house and so she ended up spending the rest of the evening outside b/c of her Asthma/allergy. She got pampered by Uncle Rance and Matt. All you can drink hot coco, brownies and cup cakes....What a special little girl.......................

Last Saturday, Aidan went to his first BYU basketball game with Grandpa and Jared. They Played Hawaii and won. He was way excited to go with two of his favorite people. Jared said he got popcorn and a drink and when that was all consumed he was ready to leave the game ( that all happened in the first 5 minutes). Lucky he fell asleep and woke up just in time to come home.

I can never really get a good picture of Aidan. That Kid is always on the move or doing something crazy. I was going to take a picture of Aidan, Grandpa and Jared to mark the event but I had just walked out shower when Grandpa came to pick the boyz up. So, you'll have to settle with shots of Aidan in his BYU shirt, while on the move. He looks handsome in this blues................This kid is going to be a heart breaker.......

My whole life I've always had to share a bedroom with someone!
Before getting married, I shared a room with both my brother and sister.
I've never had my own space, my own bed or my own door to shut and tell people to leave me the heck alone.
I've always been surrounded by people.

Anjali the child that has her own beautiful room, nice soft/warm bed, decorated perfectly for a little girl, surround by her toys
will sleep on my bedroom floor in her sleeping bag, Aidan crib, next to gaint teddy Bobo, and on the couch but not in her room. The child that would be perfectly content with being around people every waking minute. The Irony of Life.....

Thanksgiving was spent at grandma and grandpa Sanford with great grandpa Sanford, Aunty Emi, Lou Ann, Melissa/Creg and their two beautiful girls. It's was great company and delicious food....We truly have so much to be thankful for....

After spending a great evening with kids and hubby watching Charlie brown, putting up the Christmas tree I was ready to hit the store by myself for some great blackfriday shopping. I did really good and some how managed to get everything I wanted. You'll have to wait until Christmas to see all the goodies.
I totally love Thanksgiving but every year secretly can't wait for it to be over so I can pull all the Christmas stuff out of storage and get the townhouse all decked out.....Christmas is my absolute favorite

So, it's time to start getting ready for Christmas and part of the tradition is taking our yearly family picture/card to send to close family/friends. While after my experience last year (I basically realize I could be a plus size model, Anjali/ Jared refuse to smile and Aidan was just too cold and wanted to be home), I vowed that this year would be different, I would lose all the weight, bribe the kids and hubby to act like their happy to be getting their picture
taken.

I've since decided against all those ideas and have come up with a new one......Picture below is of my beautiful sister and my brother- in- law. ..........I'm going to pay them to be the new and improve Jared and Sara and we'll just keep the kids b/c the are so darn cute........

No clue what they were doing! Side affect of eating too much cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.....

My eyes are burning and I've lost my voice from screaming. We went to the mid-night showing on opening night (friend from the ward knew some who rented a theater out). The fun begin at 6:30 and didn't end until 2:30 am. We started the evening by checking out the new H & M at Fashion Place (got Juju a cute dress and wanted some suspenders for Aidan but didn't have his size), Crates and Barrel (wanted everything in that place), dinner at Cheesecake factory and then to the theater to people watch.....So much fun...the movie was horrible as always ( decided Jacob is the only one that can act) but all in all it was a fabulous evening and I can't wait to do it next year again.........

With the exception of the first movie Kristi, Van and I have seen all of the shows together but Jennie joined us for this one. She was so much fun and it was great to have another mom with the group.

And after being in a theater filled with woman from Utah, I'm staring to feel a little fat..Ok, I'm feeling like a whale, need to wear more makeup and def. see if my husband will buy me $300 dollar True religion jeans.

All better after a nebulizer.....look at the difference in his face! Gotta love the arm behind the head. Superman just chilling....

I should be napping b/c Aidan was up all last night he had a temp., cough and Asthma issues but he's sound asleep and I'm blogging .

I don't keep a Journal, so blogging is kinda my way of remembering things since I'm becoming a old lady (I've got the gray hairs to prove it).
Took Aidan to the Dr. this morning and he's got strep which is affecting his asthma. Poor kid, he's had a rough 3 months with Asthma issues after asthma issue.
It brakes my heart to see him sick.
He's got the world of energy and loves to be wild, playing and jumping off things.
At 2, he doesn't understand what Asthma is and I don't expect him to but its heart breaking to see him struggle to breathe.
It's worst b/c he hates to take his medicine or use his nebulizer.
He's such a strong willed child ( from hearing stories from Jared's parents he sound like a mini Jared. Always trying to act like nothing is the matter but yet he can't walk five step without wheezing).
I hope as he gets older his asthma will get better and hopefully he will grow out of it.

When I was pregnant with Aidan, I remember lying in bed telling Jared I don't know if I can possibly love this baby as much as I love Anjali but after giving birth and holding him in my arms those fears were washed away.
Now, whenever I see him and his wonderful qualities my heart aches with so much love and admiration. I love him so very much and as his mom it hurts to see him sick and not be his normal self.

well hope you guys enjoy the christmas back ground...I'm one of those christmas loving people

I'd have to say one of the greatest joy in my life is watching my little boy and his father interact with each other. Aidan adores his Papa and Papa adores Aidan.

Every year we get a member ship to one of the kid friendly places in Utah, so the kids can go often and enjoy themselves. We've enjoyed having a membership to Gateway Discovery and the Zoo. This year we got a pass to Tracy Aviary. We've been 3/4 times already and the kids love it every time.

32 Birthday and I'm at lost for words that can describe how extremely blessed, happy and lucky that I am. I'm not one of those people who can eloquently express how I feel. It's never been a quality that I possess, so I'll try to do this post some justice.

For the past eight weeks, I've been flirting with this amazing guy sitting next to me in photography class! He got these breath taking blue eyes. I could totally see myself getting lost in them. I wonder if he's taken or interested....Yeap, he's totally taken by me!

Love extra pay periods! It felt like Christmas has come early in the Sanford home this year. Jared got himself golf clubs so he can learn the sport, then he got me a Kindle b/c he knows how much I adore reading but our best purchase is our Nixon D3000. So, yeah for extra pay periods and great husband that got both of us signed up for 8 week photography class at SLCC. So much fun spending 2 hours every week with my hubby.

Some of the pictures we took of the kids, toys and scenery at the cabin. We've got a long way to go....

Blogging has taken a back seat to facebook and my goal to read a 100 books before the year is over but that is about to change! Will still be shooting for reading 100 books before the end of 2011 but gonna try cutting back on facebook which is addictive.

Here are a few highlights of what we've been doing:

Anjali
* started Kindergarten ( all day)
* Goes to computer class at Waterford Institute 2x a week
* Soccer (that was kinda interesting, she was scared of the ball)
* Love to write notes and do homework, play with friends every waking hour if I would let her
* lost a tooth
* Goes to speech once a week for 1/2 hour (currently working with letter S). Her speech Therapist says we should expect to have her in speech for 2 years.
* Still growing like a coconut tree (she one of the tallest kid in her class)
* Still our sweet, emotional, smart little JuJu

Jared
* 3rd year of being our HOA president
* 1 semester away from getting his MPA from BYU (we're so excited for that to happen, it's been a long 3 years of working, family, HOA duties and school)
* had his appendix out
* Best father and husband I could have ever dreamed of

Aidan is still being Aidan
* Still crazy about playing with his cars, legos and trains
* Talks no stop
* Loves to jump off things
* Still beats up Anjali all the time
* We're realizing that his Asthma is worst than Juju's was at the same age
* We so blessed with all the drama this kid bring in our home. He our little comedian and we couldn't possible imagine our family without him.

* Still trying to figure out how to lose 60 pound and become a supermodel
* learning how to balance everyone's schedule
* 29 books away from my goal
* still figuring out how to be a domestic goddess
* trying to be the best mom and wife possible

The first time we saw Aidan watching TV with his hands folded behind his head, Jared and I both looked at each other and thought this kids too funny (he's our little king). He sits like this and watches his favorite movie cars at least once a day and always has to pull the blanket over himself (got that one from me) but we later realize that he's mimicking Jared.

Jared and I love our Aidan to pieces. At two he is Mr. personality, talks non stop, so proper (always saying thank you and please), loves his cars, his sister and eating everything that kids normally wouldn't eat. He loves when we sing rock a bye baby to him and will usually sing himself to sleep. It really is such a joy to be his mom. At 2 he makes me laugh so much. I can't wait to see how he develops and grow.

I've decided that I really enjoy decorating and it doesn't matter what I'm decorating. I just like things to be pretty, Jared would laugh at that! I like having thing be perfectly beautiful but I can't really keep a clean house. Funny! Anyways, this year I helped a friend and my sister with decorating their trees and was amazed at my talent. Give me all your nicknacks and crazy ornaments and I can make your Christmas tree shine!!! Here is a pic. of half our christmas tree!!!

Aunt Nessa and Uncle Rance, day after Christmas watching Shark boy and Lava girl (Anjali favorite movie, I tried telling her that Shark boy is Jacob from my Vampire movie but I don't think she believed me). We were not able to see my Brother, Sister and her husband for christmas, so we had them over for dinner and presents the day after christmas. It was so much fun!

HIGHLIGHTS:
Anjali, Jared and I were able to go see the Nutcracker. It was amazing, we had seats in the second row, so we didn't miss anything. It was my first for the Nutcracker and I'm hoping Anjali and Jared will let me crash on their father/daughter tradition.

Christmas morning breakfast at Jared's parents and then presents...I love Jared's parents, the gave us exactly what we asked for and to me Christmas can't get any better!

Goal for this Christmas was to be as stress-free as possible and it was accomplished! Aidan and Anjali got wonderful presents that will hopefully keep them busy and entertained until next christmas. Their bank account/ college fund got a nice chunk a change added to it, thanks to the NYC gang (thank you guys, for always remembering them).

Went to see Jared's grandparents, which the kids always enjoy...and then ended the day with a nice dinner with the 4 of us.

Easter weekend was lot and lots of fun, I was able to watch all of General Conference while my kids destroyed my house. Jared and I took the kids to the Zoo, had brunch at Ruth's Diner. While driving to the diner Anjali asked "where do the Easter bunny lives"and Jared replied "at he top of the mountain"...the conversation that follow was entertaining!!!

We also discovered that our kids are really ours...Aidan and Anjali both HATE PEEPS!!!!! sorry peeps lovers but seriously sugar on sugar.....blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa now anything Ice cream or chocolate and we're in business

March ...NYC Trip

The kids and I were able to go to NY in March, Jet blue had tickets for $10 dollars and boy did we take Advantage of it! It was prefect timing for Anjali's 4th Birthday. We really didn't do much except eat amazing food, went to City Island (I had my favorite baked clams, I had a dozen all by myself..I was in heaven) played some fun games, went and got my eye brows threaded, visit with my Grandma, Aunts/Uncles and my absolute fav. spending time with cousins. It was a blast and something, I wish I could do more often.
Coming home from that fun trip was crazy, rained and wind was so bad that No flights from JKF went anywhere that night and for the next two days it was back and forth to the airport b/c we were flighting standby. The day I finally left, I ended missing two flights then finally got one to Long beach, then spend the night at hotel and left in morning. It was way good to be home!!!!! Also, did I mention after missing the 2 flights, I had stay at the airport for 5hrs with my two kids......................Jared knew that I'm a super strong New Yorker before this but now it in stone.........

In January, Anjali started to take ballet class at Highland High school. It's through SLC Community Education program. She goes once a week for an hour. Last week parents were invited to watch for the last 15 minutes of class. The little girls are so cute and the teacher is so patient with them.

I should say I'm really glad that Anjali has Jared for a Dad. He's the one that found this class, got her into Karate once a week and twice a week she goes to the Montessori school. I'm so glad that we are able to expose her to these activities. She has learned so much and is becoming such a disciplined child. I can remember, before we started her with karate she didn't know how to do a somersaul and now she does. It kinda funny, because I remember telling friends and family that we were going to put her in karate and some people made faces, some laugh/giggle under their breaths and some just thought their crazy because Anjali is JUST a girly girl, and their right she does love all things princess and pink but she also one of the best in her Karate class. Well, now I'm rambling...my point was I'm glad Jared is not someone that just goes alone with things just because. I'm glad that he want to expose his kids to different thing and not have them fit into the model that people and society love to create for each of us.

Moral of this post, don't try to fit your kid into a box!

This year we didn't do much for Halloween. Aidan had a horrible chest cold and so we didn't take him trick or treating. We ended up taking him and Juju to see great-grandma and grandpa Sanford.
Juju was a beautiful snow white and Aidan was pooh bear. We tried convincing Juju to be tigger but that was a no go......
Traci and Bonnie, if you're reading this... you should know I'm ordering you guys to move back into the neighborhood. You guys sure know how to trough parties......You are so so missed!!!!!

We spent our 4th of July by having dinner with Willie, Cristy, Alyson and Zack at Red Lobster and then went to Sugarhouse Park to watch the fireworks with my Sis Van, Bro. in law Rance, Bro. Sanjay and the beautiful Krist (Rance's little Sis)....

It's amazing how life turns out...Growing up, I was and still am very close to my family. I love being with my Brother, Sister and Cousins. So so many wonderful memories! When we had Anjali, I worried that my kids would never really get to know my family b/c of the distance but I'm now extremely lucky to have both my siblings living in Utah. So, now my kids will get the chance to know the TWO most important people to me other than Jared, my Mommy and Dad. My heart is very Happy and I feel like things are complete.....I love the fact that my sibling are close by and that my kids will have lots and lots of additional love. Hopefully one day both my bother and sister will have kids, and then our kids will grow up and make everlasting memories with each other.....I don't think my Mom and Dad, as parents could ask for anything more than three kids that are close to each.....I love my Little Sister and brother very much and I will always be their greatest allies and defender. As a mom, I know that their will be times when Anjali and Aidan will be mad at each other but, I do hope with all my heart that in the end they will always be the best of friends....

Aidan is now 4 months 1 week old. He's rolling around, holding his head up and doing a pretty good job of sitting up. He's growing up so fast and still is an amazing baby. He's waking up about one time during the night, which is great b/c I can now get some sleep.
He's such a different baby compared to Anjali. He loves loves to be held and be around people....On Saturday we started feeding him rice cereal. He seems to be enjoying that..He's such a good eater

Anjali being a ballerina.....she's been going to the playgroup at church for a while now and is really enjoys that. She's very out spoken and still is such a wonderful child. she makes being a mom easy...just last week she bassically potty trained herself. its been five days and no accidents...i'm keeping my fingers crossed...
She enjoys riding on her bike, playing with Aidan, helping me do EVERYTHING and lately spending lots of time with my sister and Rance's little sister Kristi.....She always says are we going to see Kristi and aunt nessa...

Anjali turned 3 on March 12, so since my Mom was in town, Jared (the fun parent) decided that we should take her somewhere fun. We invited her very favorites friends Gavin, Bryn and Alyson. The kids played games, had pizza, ice cream and cake and we opened presents. It's great to see all the changes Anjali has gone through over the years. She such a fun little girl and we are so glad that she's part of our family.

It has been a month since we've had Aidan and it already seems like he's been with us forever. He's such a HANSOME little guy and I still can't get over all that hair. Like Anjali he's a wonderful baby! He's got some gas issues and sleeping at night can sometimes be difficulty but I'm sure in a month or two things will be better.

This time around, to make life easier and so, I would have a little more freedom, we've been doing both a bottle and breastfeeding. Jared says he's a TIMAL when it comes to nursing. He enjoys it and I really enjoy being able to nurse him. Hopefully he won't be like Anjali and nurse until 18 months.

Anjali is a good big sister and loves to help pick his outfits out. She is always very concerned when he's crying. She been good with helping to bath and feed Aidan.

It's been a fairly easy month and hopefully things will continue to go smoothly. I should say that we've had so much help from Jared's Mom and Dad ( taking Anjali, bring dinner for us, watching Aidan, and doing many more things for us), Christy (coming over & keeping me company & making dinner), the ward making dinner and Tracy taking Anjali to play with her boys and finally my sister Van taking a week of PTO Time to help me out. We are so lucky/ blessed to have such loving/caring friends and family in our lives.

THANKSGIVING.... We spent Thanksgiving with my sister Van, her husband Rance, our little matchmaker Trisha and her son Shawn. We all had a good time playing bowling on their new Wii system and enjoyed a really yummy dinner with tons and tons of food. Hope everyone had a memorable Thanksgiving.

SUKIE our dog...After about a half day of being on KSL, a nice family came and got Sukie from us. Jared and Anjali have missed her a lot. Anjali will just randomly ask about her and of course I'm the bad guy b/c Jared leaves it up to me to explain what I did with her dog. Thats tuff.... On the plus said we had a very healthy little girl...No runny nose or she has not needed a asthma treatment since Nov. 8th, which is amazing....Side affect of getting rid of Sukie is NOW ANJALI THINKS SHE'S A DOG. THIS PASS WEEK SHE'S BEEN PRETENDING TO BE A DOG AROUND THE HOUSE....KINDA CUTE, LETS SEE HOW LONG IT WILL LAST...

DISNEYLAND .....Jared and Anjali were able to go to Disneyland with Grandma & Grandpa Sanford and Emily. So to get Anjali ready for her trip, that morning for breakfast I made her Mickey Mouse pancakes (thanks for the idea Angela) and got her a princess pajamas for the trip.

Jared said that she had a FUN time at Disneyland and also really enjoyed looking at the airplanes at the airport.

Well, early last week I took Anjali to see a specialist for her Asthma and he suggested that we take her to a allergist b/c of her Constance runny nose, watery eyes and almost always she is recovering from or has a cold. So, on Friday we took her to see an allergist @ Primary Children and they tested her for some indoor / outdoors stuff and it came back that she is allergic to CATS, DOGS AND WEEDS, so now its GOODbye Sukie....I'm happy that I can now get raid of Sukie but I'm extremely sad b/c Anjali and Jared ABSOLUTELY LOVES her. And not to mention Anjali is such a cat and dog person. She just loves petting them and its sad that she probably will never be able to have another dog again, unless she grows out of it.

I'm giving it a Full week and 1/2 before I take her to the pound, so if you know anyone that seriously want a dog let me know. I think she's 3 years old and is a SHITZU/LASSO APSO combo.

Anjali, Gavin, Emily and I went to our Ward/Townhouse Halloween Party in the club house. It was lots of fun. Everyone who attend made something. My job was to make 2 dozens sugar cookies, frosting and make a pot of soup. Let just say after doing all of that I was just ready to relax. It was great to actually go to the party b/c they had face painting, story time, cookie decorating and games, so Anjali and Gavin were completely entertained while Emily and I just watched and laugh.

Kids can be so so silly at times....It's always fun to see them interact with each other especially Anjali and Gavin.

Yesterday, I had my second to last Dr. appt until I have to start going weekly. At 30 weeks pregnant, I've agained a grand total of 15 pounds. Baby is growing and everything looks good. The funny part is my Dr. expect me to gain 10 pounds over the next 10 weeks. I came home and told Jared she's crazy b/c it took me 30 weeks to gain 15 pounds and in 10 weeks I'm expected to again 10 more. I've been trying but I don't think it going to happen.

Feel very jealous people b/c I'm gonna go chocolate cake crazy and just hope this kid doesn't come out bouncing off the walls.

Monday night, Kirsten and I went to Capitol Theater to watch Madame Butterfly. It was beautiful!!! My WONDERFUL husband got front row seats, so Kirsten and I was able to see everything. It was great! After the opera we went and got Anjali from Vanessa's and came home and made pizza.

Before, beautiful..I don't know any 2 years old with that much hair and that long. Why, I didn't cut it sooner? Jared made sure that I Kept a promise, I made to my MOM (that I wouldn't cut Anjali's hair until she saw it and told me how much to cut off).

My first attemp at cutting her hair. NOt BAD!! BUT hold on it gets worst...

THe "worst", I then thought she needed some bangs. Parent's, what we do to our kids!

Ok, really what SAra does to her kid...
And Finally, What the professionals are really for. So, after cutting Anjali's hair for the third time, I decide that I would throw in the towels. I called Emily and Cristy telling them what I had done and how Jared will kill b/c he had seen the first cut but not the second (shorter in the back) and third (bangs).

The day after, I was tending for Crystal and I told her that I would take Anjali to Cookie Cutters in Draper and have them try to fix what I had done before we took off to Colorado for the weekend. Crystal needed to take Gavin and so, her and I took the kids together. It was a lot of fun and Cookie Cutters is such a cute little store. Fun chairs, the kids get to watch a movie or play a video game and after the hair cut they get a balloon and a lollipop. So Cute...Anyways, here is the final cut...and if you're reading this Crystal thanks for giving Anjali's her first professionally done hair cut.... It looks beautiful

C. STORY- Jared and I made the decision last year that we wanted to have another baby, and so it was a matter of time before we decided when to start trying. Anyways, back in April we went to Vegas with Willie, Cristy and Mark and one day I went shopping at the oultets off the strip. I ended up getting Anjali PJs and this baby BOY sneaker above. I totally loved it and had to have it. I remember showing Cristy it and her saying that maybe we would have a boy and Its crazy to think that we are having a boy.....Also, when I called my grandmother to tell her that I was pregnant she said that I would have my "PAIR"....and when my Family came out three weeks ago for my sister's reception they all said by the way my belly was shaped that it looked like its going to be a boy. GuESS it was destine...

Jared and I are so so excited to be giving our parents not only their FIRST granddaughter but their very FIRST grandson...now we just have 4 more months of pregnancy...I don't think I can wait...

Also, It was fun to see Anjali's reaction while I was having the ultrasound done. She's going to be such a good big sister.

Flashback from JUNE..AND 4th of JULY

For 4th of July, we went up to Jared's Grandparents Cabin located in Weber Canyon pass Kamas and Oakley. We drove up Thursday evening, so we would have two whole nights. Willie, Cristy, Alyson, and Zach went with us. Mark and his girlfriend came up Friday night.

At the Cabin, Cristy and I took the girls on a walk to see the horses which Anjali could not get enough of. We relaxed and watched some good movies. On the 4th we went to Moorehouse lake and rafted. That was an adventure in it self. Try crossing a crazy lake wit

h two kids and lots of supply, two life vest,a raft and the only two people who can swim. It was a blasts and at times Cristy and I thought we would die...Did I mention the water was ICE COLD....WE LIKE TO LIVE ON THE EDGe, in case anyone was't aware.

Its was a memorable 4th with great company and good food and relaxation...Can't ask for anything more in life. We hope everyone also had a great 4th...

SHAKESPEAREAN FESTIVAL...

The weekend of the 28th, Jared and I went down to Ceder City to watch Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare. This was our second time going down to Ceder City to see Shakespeare. We just love it...Our first time we saw Much to do About Nothing and like Taming of the Shrew it was exciting.

The last time Jared was out of town, Anjali and I spent the entire time with my Sis. Van and Rance. We had a sleep over one night, had the dinner another night and on Saturday we went to the Farmers Market in Pioneer Park. Its was a lot of fun. Everyone should check it out.

That night Rance made Van and I the most delicious meal. He's such a good cook...and not to MENTION ADORED BY ANJALI....She loves her Aunt Van and uncle Rance and it was great to spent time with them....

For Mother's Day, Jared went all out and bought me a new car. Its Honda Civic/ Hybrid. I love it and it's so much fun ordering fast food without being looked at strangely, I'm not sure anyone was aware of this, but my old car the driver side window would always take a long time to roll back up, so I never bother using it and I would open my door to pay and collect my goods but no more.

Last week we took Anjali to Tracy Avery and feed the birds apples. Jared and I had a good time but Anjali was not too happy with the birds flying and landing on us. She was very concerned!

We've been swimming with my sister whenever the weather has been good.

On Saturday, I took Gavin, Bryn and Anjali to Wheeler Farm. It turned out to be a lot of fun b/c of an Arthritis Walk that was going on. The kids went on pony rides, feed the ducks, climb on a tree and rolled down hills. I will post the picture later.

On Saturday, while Jared had Anjali my Sister, Trish and I went to see SEX IN THE CITY. It was so much fun. We laughed so hard and in between the laughter some tears were shed. Its was a great show and I'm so sad that to see it come to an end.

And finally, the best news of all: Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. secured the Democratic nomination for President. History was made and I'm so so excited.......

A while ago, Jared got tickets so we could go see our first Opera but unfortunately he had to go to Orlando for training and was not able to go, so my good friend Kirsten went with me.

Don Giovanni was amazing! It has a little bite of everything: drama, love, murder, infidelity, comedy. It was just perfect! My favorite character was Giovanni's servant Leporello. He made

the show and not to forget the main man Mozart. He is pure genius and man the incredible power of music.

It's was a great DATE NIGHT with you Kirsten, and thanks for being so excited and getting Jared and I Milka bars at Siegfried's. Also, Van and Rance thanks for watching my baby. I'm sure she had a good time with you guys.

4th Anniversary....

Jared and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary on April 24...

My amazing husband took me to The Armstrong's Mansion Bed and Breakfast for 2 days. On Sunday, we dropped Anjali off at her grandparents and went to the mansion. Its such a beautiful Mansion with amazing history. And not to mention so relaxing.

We stayed at the Armstrong's, Sunday evening, Monday and came home Tuesday. Monday was super special! We woke up and had breakfast at the Mansion, then Jared took me to the Gateway for some shopping and a movie of my choice ( we saw "baby Mama") and then later that evening we went to Spencer's Steakhouse (Kinda like Ruth's Chris Steakhouse). It was so yummy!! We had Calamari as an appetizer, Greek salad and Asparagus salad with crab and we both had prim rib for our main course.....We were in Heaven

After dinner we went back to the Mansion, and Jared suprised me by having banana split sent our room...Can life get any better, I don't think so..

It's was a great 4th Anniversary!!!

P.s It was the first time Anjali spent 2 whole night without Jared and I. This morning when we picked her up, she wasn't even excited to see us ( which made me so sad). Her Grandpa said that she was very good and fun to be around. Also, when we came home she totally ignored Jared and I. I'm not sure if that's her way of saying I'm mad at u guys...Who knows? And U will be shocked to know that while at he Mansion Jared was the one, who kept on talking about Anjali...That made me happy b/c I'm the one usually with separation anxiety

Today, while Anjali had Gavin and Bryn to entertain her, I got to watch "The Nanny Diaries" with Scarlett Johansson. I'm not one for cheese movies but I really did enjoy this show and plus Alicia Key was it, so it was extra special.

So, as I'm writing this blog I just realize that I've watched way too many movies this week. Here is the list:

Weekend in Las Vegas!!

Pictures of our trip to Vegas (about two weeks ago). Willie, Christy, Baby Alyson and Mark went early that week and Jared, Anjali and I drove down and spent the weekend with them. It was great fun. We left Thursday night and drove to Saint George, where we spent the night at the Conner's (Jared's Uncle Rock and Aunt Judy). Got up, had a delicious breakfast and visited for a while and then headed off to Vegas.

While in Vegas, we all had fun enjoying a great Good Friday dinner at the Bellagio, and on Saturday we took the girls to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and then Jared, Willie, Mark and Anjali hit the hot tub, while I went to the outlet and spent some of Jared's money. It was a blast!

On Sunday, we drove the entire way home. I love going away on the weekends, it was so much fun to see Willie, Christy and Marks timeshare. It was absolutely beautiful.

AND JARED I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU GOT THE NATURAL GAS CAR! It cost us a little over $40 dollars from SLC to Vegas and Vegas back to SLC. lets just say we are going to be taking a lot of trips this summer.

On Anjali second birthday, Jared and I decided that it was time to change Anjali's crib into her transitional bed. We were curious to see how this would work and if Anjali would adjust to the new change! I should say that she has always been a good sleeper and only sleeps in our bed, when we are on Vacations...Which Jared hates b/c then she sleeps like she's in her crib (lots of rolling around/ kicking).

We were shocked to see how much she loves her new bed. She had fun pretending to go to sleep while Jared was fixing the rails. It's been a little over two weeks and we've had no major incident, so I'm keeping my finger crossed. Also, Bobo (her teddy) is in front of her bed b/c she rolls around so much, that on the second night she fell off the bed and in the MORNING I FOUND HER UNDER HER BED, BANGING HER HEAD TRYING TO HEAD UP! ITS WAS SO FUNNY, WISH I HAD A CAMERA! JARED AND I HAD A GOOD LAUGH!! Now, all we have to work on is potty training and then someone will be off to College! If only, it was that easy!

6 months! Love those big blue eyes!

12 months...with her teddy bear that Jared got for her first Birthday! She love her teddy!

18 months....A Day AT THE OFFICE! When we're home, we just don't care what we look like! Take a close look at her hair and her clothing, EVERYTHING MATCHES PERFECTLY...Sanjay, I just through this one in, so you can see Anjali wearing the dress you got her. She wore it to Church and it looked super cute...the navy blue look amazing with her eyes and hair color. Good job shopping!!

23 months...., Got no camera, so you will all have to wait for that 2 years old picture!!! Learning how to surf on a table with a pillow, the best way. You should all try it!

Pictures that was taken by Jared's mom of the Hawaii trip. Vanessa, thanks for being the BEST AUNT ever! I'm not just saying that, YOU TRULY ARE! I was just looking through baby pictures and noticed that 95 % of Anjali's clothing are from you. You spoil her rotten and I'm glad you do! Her swimsuits looked beautiful on her and so did the dress above. All her clothing that I took to Hawaii was from stuff you got for her when she was a baby!

So, all I'm gonna say is continue shopping sister, just don't tell Rance I told you so! Don't worry your kid will be # 1 to me, too!! You spoil mine and I spoil yours!! Don't worry Uncle Sanjay, you give the best X-mas gifts.

Anjali had a fun Thursday! She spent the morning with Aunty Vanessa, had her usually 3 hour nap ( a great 3 hour of relaxation for me), then I took her, Gavin and Bryn to the Living Planet Aquarium (its free for kids under two but adults have to pay $8), and to top it off, we went to Chuck E Cheese. It was a very product day! I love being home but having things to do is the absolute best!! Van, thanks for lending me your camera. I might not give it back!

We got back yesterday morning from spending a week in Hawaii. A reflection of our trip itinerary:

MONDAY:

Woke up and had breakfast at the Waikiki Marriott. Jared and I had the best waffles ever. It was a regular waffle topped with lots of whipped cream, lots of fresh Island fruits, dried coconut. Jared took the liberty of pouring coconut syrup on mine. Yum Yum!!
After breakfast, Jared's parents took us out to the beach and then for a walk around the area we were staying. It's was absolutely breath taking. ANJALI DIDN' T REALLY ENJOY WALKING ON THE BEACH, SHE HAD TO BE CARRIED BY GRANDPA B/C SHE WAS SCARED OF THE SAND AND WATER., SHE TAUGHT IT WAS GROSS....THAT WOULD SOON CHANGE.
After walking on the beach we then went to the Ko Olina Marriott timeshare, that's where we spent most of the trip.
We went snorkeling, which was great EXCEPT I almost drowned. I'm an OK swimmer and was doing fine but then realize that I was in a really deep area and could no longer touch the ground and then freaked out. I started to yell for Jared and then I thought about Emily the lifeguard (Jared's little Sis). She tried giving me lessons, but I'm a pretty difficult student! So, I just remember her saying that most people drowned b/c they panic, which I was doing. So, I decided to stop screaming and do something. Plus, Jared the world fastest swimmer had finally made it to my rescue.

TUESDAY:

We went to BYU, saw where Nina (Jared's other Sis) lived while attending BYU for a semester.
Went on a tour of the Temple
got the BEST shaved ice at Matsumoto. It had vanilla ice cream at the bottom
laua at Paradise Cove...It was the greatest, lots of fun activities, beautiful music and good food. I loved pulled pork, but man they took forever to feed us. Anjali, hopefully got her first and last turtle tattoo.
Also had malassada
Anjali fell in love with the ocean and sand at the laua. It was beautiful...

WEDNESDAY:

Went to the largest swap meat that I've ever seen and got some good deals. Anjali made off like a bandit. Grandma and Grandpa got a Winnie the Pooh backpack and a dress for her. Jared also got her a ukulele
Later that day, While Anjali was taking a nap Grandpa, Jared and I went to Pearl Harbor. I really enjoyed watching the movie and then going out to see USS Arizona memorial.
After dinner, we went to the beach and watched the sun set. Then hit the pool

THURSDAY:

b/c we were scheduled to leave on Friday, today was just our time out day!! Not really
Jared and I went snorkeling again, which was much better this time b/c as stupid as it was I got a life vest. I was able to follow Jared anywhere he wanted to go, without freaking out!!! We saw some great little fishy..

That evening we went to the JW and saw exotic looking fishes, stingray and hammer head sharks. Jared's Dad took us/ mainly me to a great Japanese restaurant. We shared a sushi platter, It was the best sushi I've had since leaving NYC
We saw two female golf pro while eating dinner...

FRIDAY:

THE DAY THAT EVERYTHING Went DOWN HILL.

WE WERE FLYING STANDBY AND WAS UNABLE TO GET ON TWO DELTA FIGHTS.

JARED AND I GOT OUR BAGS STOLEN.

WE HAD NO LUGGAGE/ CLOTHING, NO HOTEL RESERVATION AND EVERYWHERE SEEMS COMPLETE BOOKED out....WE ALL REALLY WANTED TO just GET HOME BUT ENDED UP HAVING TO SPEND THE NIGHT AND THEN JARED'S PARENT BOUGHT TICKETS FOR ALL OF US TO GET HOME. ON SATURDAY, WE TOOK ALOHA AIRLINE TO MAUI, THEN TO SAN DIEGO AND THEN TO SLC ON SUNDAY!!! OH, WHEN WE LANDED IN MAUI, JARED GOT PHONE CALL THAT OUR BAG WAS FOUND. WE LATER FOUND OUT THAT MY CAMERA WAS GONE...I WAS SO SAD B/C ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL PICTURES ARE GOING TO BE DELETED by some thieve. Oh well!!!

It was a great trip and HI is absolutely beautiful. I loved the culture and the native HI people.

Jared and I, learned on this trip that we have the greatest daughter. She was so good that it made our vacation enjoyable. Flying was a piece of cake and benadryl free.

Frances if your reading this, Thanks a million for giving us buddy passes and I will work on getting a picture of Jared showing some teeth. Also, thanks Grandma and Grandpa Sanford for going to HI with us and showing us all of its beauty. It's always great to see Anjali interact with you guys. She has such a special love and bond with you guys...Thank you for all you do....Mohalo

New Car

A couple months ago we bought a new car. What is special about that you ask. Well nothing. But I did want to share with everyone that it is a natural gas car. As someone who is concerned about our stewardship with the environment, I always felt guilty driving my gas hog of a truck. So I bought a natural gas car and I'm really happy with it. It runs great and gas is only .63 a gallon. Now compare that to gasoline. Not only is it saving me a bundle with gas it is helping the environment. Next time your in the market for a car look green.

Her new love is trains....Geo tracks/ Thomas you name it. So, last Saturday Jared arranged a trip with his parents to Heber Valley Railroad Station.

This lovely couple is getting married in August. So, yesterday morning Anjali and I went cake tasting with them. It was a lot of fun and delicious. Lots of choices and decision to be made, but the good thing is they both found the perfect cake. Its great to be able to enjoy such a special time in their lives.

More of Baby Alyson!!!!

Yesterday, we went to the hospital to see Christy and Alyson. It was exciting to see her again for more than half an hour this time. Jared, Willie and Mark went to the movies and dinner, while the girls hanged out in the hospital. It was fun for while, until Anjali decided she was tired of the room and wanted to explore. It wasn't long before, we got a couple to people to shut their doors on us while she was playing in the hall way.....Sorry, but she's a very loud almost two year old! I guess you can not please everyone!! OH Well!!

After reeking havoc in the hall way, Grandma Ruth, Anjali and I had dinner in the hospital cafeteria while Christy was nursing. Anjali had a slice of pizza, and Ruth and had a Philly Sandwich. Yummy!!! HOSPITAL FOOD IS GETTING SO MUCH BETTER...OR I JUST MIGHT BE LOSING my marbles! It was so much fun talking to Ruth about being the mom of three boys and what it took to entertain them.

Christy is going to be an amazing mom. She's so loving, patient and attentive to Alyson.

Alyson is finally here!!!

Today, Willie (Jared's BF) and Christina had baby Alyson. She arrived into the world this morning around 8:23am (she was a week overdue). She's 8lbs 10 ounces and 21 1/2inches.

We went to the hospital this afternoon to see Christina and baby Alyson and man she's a beautiful baby. JUST PERFECT!! While we were visiting Christina, she said to me, "We've got our girls." It's was such a special moment. I'm so excited for Willie and Christy and I can not wait to see Alyson again.

I'm not sure what Anjali thought about the baby, but she really did enjoy playing with Christina's balloons.

So, today Anjali and I decided to spend the morning at the Library (Chapman Branch). Its a fun library, they've got a slide, fish tank and a stage that they use for puppets shows. While Anjali entrained herself with the slide and fish tank, I got to read some magazines and have some Sara time. It's kinda sad, but no one's ever really their, so Anjali could be as loud as she wanted and no one would say a thing, plus the children section is on the second floor. So we got off scott free for now..until she's old enough to understand that you really can't be loud at he library.

Also, I fond someone that's messier than me. Jared is always telling me that i don't really take good care of the truck and car b/c he will occasionally find wrappings, toys or a drink bottle on the floor of the car. In his words," You're messy" but I FOUND SOMEONE who is WAY WAY WORST THEN ME. At the library, I parked next to someones car who had this, in the passenger side of the front seat and the back seat was way worst...So , babe you should be happy that I only have wrapping and toys in our car. I'm like a neat freak next to this person.

Hogle Zoo

This morning Jared and I took Anjali to the zoo. Anjali had a great time looking at the animals,walking around and splashing in the water puddles. After the zoo, Jared and I had an amazing lunch at The Lion House, while Anjali was asleep in my arms. She was completely exhausted!
It was the perfect Saturday, with great weather.

Senator B. OBAMA won 38% of the Iowan Democrat caucuses ---Man, am I ready for a Multiracial President of the US! Never thought it would be happening in my lifetime, but it's a great day, the future looks bright and this is America, and so anything is truly possible. OBAMA, you got my vote, and a bunch of minority girls who all got their B.A at John Jay. I'm Hopeful that you will be victorious, all the way to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Excellent Excellent speech last night....All along, I've been telling Jared that I'm gonna vote for the white woman b/c she a WOMAN and I'm gonna vote for the Multiracial guys cause he's Multiracial, but last night I made up my mind that I'm gonna Vote OBAMA if he is the candidate the Democrat Party nominates.
